Break The Silence Against Violence
Have you ever witnessed an incident of road rage, people engaged in a senseless fist fight or a brawl at a bar? Most of us would probably say yes. Hurling abuses at a waiter in a restaurant, getting into a brawl for the most trivial of reasons or beating up a wife for not serving dinner on time, only reflect the barbaric primitive side of human beings, which is a major obstacle to civilisation. The futility of violence is so evident from our history, but we continue to witness incidents of horrifying murders and riots. We hear about such incidents quite often, but not many of us are perturbed by these unless it happens to us. Our complacency comes on our way to break the silence against violence. It is important that we become sensitive to what is happening around us and to raise voice against what is wrong. Nothing is ever going to change if we continue to keep quiet. The next time you notice that something wrong is happening, to you or to others, make sure that you talk about it.

ReplyDeletei do agree, violence is not a solution to any problem...
ReplyDeletei think violence in movies should also be banned because it has negetive influence on the audience, especially kids..
ReplyDeleteYes.. Its true! Although its very difficult, we should try our best to put an end to violence!
ReplyDeletei have to agree with you it is very sad when we have to witness such incidents are too scared to put an end to it. its time to voice ourselves out.
ReplyDeletesanitisation of the society and the behavioural science to arrest this endemic should be of top priority
ReplyDeleteviolence bleeds but compassion comforts
when knowledge is bliss but its folly to be wise
ReplyDeleteif violence is part of knowledge where is the wisdom.
lets shun violence and get into the mainstream
Everyone needs to take the non-violent path.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to take the non-violent path.
ReplyDeleteViolence must be dealt with firmly.
ReplyDeleteIt is essential to eliminate violence, but i think that, rather than just saying things and campaigning, something practical should ACTUALLY be done
ReplyDeleteI agree with this... There is a saying "Not opposing an offence is itself an offence" Especially violence against women is at an increasing rate... So v have to fight against violence as keeping silent encourages the offenders to do more violence... So lets break the silence against violence....
ReplyDeleteviolence in any form is a kind of curse to mankind. We should collectively make and take efforts to bring about positive change in society at large. Being a concerned citizen of the country it is of utmost requirement and the responsibilty doesnot fall on few but on all of us.So, lets come forward and help each other in curbing and uprooting the menace called violence.
ReplyDeleteya i agree with this... nwdays violence is increasing and we dont do anythin unless it happens 2 us.So being a citizen of India lets come forward and fight against this by breaking our silence and take some action
ReplyDeletelets raise our voice and fight against voilence
ReplyDeleteour society needs a change and it is the responsibility of we citizens to take an active part.....it doesn't necessarily mean that we should raise our voice only when it comes to us..we should all stand together inorder to bring about a better society...for us n our future generations...!!!
ReplyDeleteyes i definately agree dat keeping quiet n not raising voice to any kind of violence makes us part of that violence.so its high time that we value the worth of human beings n not just do good to others but make a safe society for ourselves....
ReplyDeleteIn order to fight against violence, we as an individual need to stand up and make sure that these incidents do not occur anymore. No matter how small the act of violence may be, we shouldn't just be silent but fight against these violence..we shouold try and follow the principle of 'do unto others what you want them to do to you'......
ReplyDeleteyeah it's really the time we've to stand together as a nation to fight against violence of all kind be it domestic, road rage or racial discrimination. if we get over these problems maybe then we can call ourselves as the citizens of a fully independent nation...jai hind...
ReplyDeleteevery individual has the right to live their life without any fear n no other individual has the right to discriminate others ..."respect others as u respect urself"...
ReplyDeleteviolence is the destroyer of every gud things in the world...if we have the courage to denounce violence..then we have the courage to face any dangers in our life....
ReplyDeletelife has always been unfair to human beings but that can be understood because it is a natural phenomenon and it cannot be controlled...but what a human being does to other human being is the most part as it kills his own fellow beings...violence is killing everybody..it is destroying the human kind...it's time we join our hands to fight against violence...peace..
ReplyDeleteViolence will not bring peace,
ReplyDeleteJust more questions and more deceased.
A lot of us just say that violence is not good etc, but we are the ones who are impatient at restaurants or who yell at people we get into potential accidents with. If every person stops when faced with conflict, thinks about it and weighs if expressing anger in a violent way is worth it or not, i believe people will find that it's not worth it so much.
ReplyDeleteYes, i'm angry because of the number of people who get beaten by their husbands, or because even today, a number of children are abused and many such things.. but u don't see me beating up the people who do such things..
If we all made an attempt to channel that anger/ frustration into more productive things, the world would be a better place. It's not wrong to feel anger, but it's wrong to make another suffer because of it.
Violence of any kind shd be condemned but at the end of the day it is we who propagate it and hence the only way to curb it is to watch our tempers!
ReplyDeleteI think that it is very necessary to take a stand against violence. It is great that atleast a small level you guys are taking an initiative to facilitate this..All the best!!
ReplyDeleteI do agree on this... its a must for all of us to raise voice against the violence happening all over us...
ReplyDelete'Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up'...
ReplyDelete-Mohandas Gandhi
violence is a growing problem. It not only results in conflicts between people, nullifies women happiness but also can impair life and break relationships.violence of any kind shpuld be condemened. It can be prevented by learning nonviolent ways to control anger and solve problems.lets come forward and fight against this by breaking our silence and take some action
against Violence!!..
I believe If you have problems controlling your anger eventually you will feel violent.Thats inevitable.
ReplyDeleteMoreover Problems at work are usually something that you are not able to immediately express your anger about. You have to remain calm at work no matter how angry you might be feeling inside. Then when you get home your anger comes out at the least little thing.
Don’t let these problems lead to domestic violence and anger management problems because then your spouse very likely will leave you for a better, safer life. Get help with your self esteem and jealousy problems before it’s too late.
